per machine head
per 8 hour day
at a 70 % capacity
Example: A twelve-headed machine with 700 stitches per minute needs in 8 hours time
| Upper yarn |
1176 x 12 (heads) = 14112 m |
| Lower yarn |
765 x 12 (heads) = 4590 m |
The consumption, of course, is measured according to the throw of the stitches. Patterns of class 66 (7), which mainly consist of long flat stitches, require more yarn while patterns with mainly short stitches, such as narrow stems, require less yarn. For this reason, the above mentioned figure are only average values which are to serve as a guideline. |
